About PlayTheDream
PlayTheDream is a sports and esports newsroom with a livescore at its centre. We publish match centres, tables, brackets and explainers for football, basketball, tennis and four esports titles, built to load fast and read cleanly on a phone.
What we make
- Live scores that update in the page as events arrive, with no reload.
- Match centres with a timeline, statistics, lineups, head-to-head record and the league table in one place.
- League and tournament pages with tables, fixtures, results and leading performers.
- Explainers on formats, rules and the numbers behind the scoreboard.
Who we are
PlayTheDream belongs to Coast Hotels and Casinos, Inc., 4500 West Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89103, United States. Editorial work is organised into four desks: the Matchday Desk, the Hardwood & Baseline Desk, The Bracket Room and the Feed & Standards Desk. Each desk has a profile page listing its remit and everything it has published.
Only the newsroom decides what runs and how it is framed. The rules we work to are set out in our editorial policy, and every confirmed error is recorded on the corrections page.
Where the data stands
Once a round is over, our desks enter results, standings and the next fixtures from each competition's own records, and every match centre points to its source. Minute-by-minute updates will follow once our agreement with a licensed real-time provider is signed; the Data Sources page lists every source we use.
How the site is paid for
Through an optional Premium subscription and, from launch, display advertising sold under strict category rules described on our advertising page. Commercial partners never see or approve editorial copy before it is published.
