When clubs are level on points, the regulations separate them in this order: Points › Head-to-head points › Head-to-head goal difference › Goal difference › Goals scored › Drawing of lots. Head-to-head criteria apply only once all matches between the tied teams have been played. End-of-season ties on points for 1st or 17th place are decided by a play-off (one leg for 1st, two legs for 17th), unless a team involved is a UEFA competition finalist.
